By-Laws
Article
I – Name
A.
Be it that the name of this organization is Keene Sno-Riders, Inc.
B.
Be it further known that the said Keene Sno-Riders, Inc. is a non-profit
organization, duly registered with the State of
New Hampshire.
Article
II – Purpose
A.
To form a voluntary organization of persons interested in snowmobiling as
a sport.
B.
To promote the use of snowmobiles, promote safely in the use thereof, and
to instruct persons on the proper use.
C.
To exchange ideas, trail information, group activities and information
pertinent to the welfare of snowmobiling.
D.
To create and maintain, mark and map a system of trails.
Article
III – Membership
A.
Any person having an interest is eligible.
B.
Membership is open to all regardless of race, color, creed or sex.
C.
Membership Category:
Ř
Single membership, 18 years of
age or older
Ř
Family membership, including
children under 18 years of age.
D.
Membership shall be for one season.
Article
IV – Organization
A.
The organization will be governed by officers duly elected by a majority
of members present; said officers will include a President, Vice
President/Secretary, Treasurer, Trail Master and Trail Administrator.
B.
All elected officers shall serve for a term of one (1) year.
C.
All officers are eligible to serve a second term.
D.
There shall be no financial payment for any elected officer.
E.
Elections shall be help in April

Duties of Officers:

G.
No person shall contract any debts for or against the organization
without first being authorized to do so by a
majority of the elected officers.
H.
Any expense exceeding $100 must be voted upon by the membership before
disbursement of funds. Expenses
less than $100 must be approved by a majority of the organization’s elected
officers before disbursement of funds.
I.
The President will appoint the Chairman for any committee.
J.
Any Chairman may appoint his own committee, but he may waive this
privilege if he/she desires.
K.
At any meeting when the election of officers is on the agenda, the
Constitution and By-Laws shall be read.
L. Each proposed amendment shall be submitted in writing and, upon receiving a majority affirmative vote, will be incorporated in the By-Laws.
Article
V – Meetings
A.
Regular meetings will be held on the first Monday of each month,
September through April. Special
meetings may be called by order of the President.
B.
No alcoholic beverages will be permitted to be consumed during any
business meetings. Violation of
this article shall constitute grounds for disqualification from membership.
The club officers shall be responsible for considering any reported
violations, and for notifying any violation member of his/her expulsion.
C.
Any member who shall commit an act of violence with malice aforethought,
causing bodily harm to any other member, or whose conduct or language shall
become obnoxious, during any business meeting or any other official club
gathering, will be disqualified from membership immediately.
Complaints shall be heard, considered and voted upon by the club
officers.
D.
The Secretary shall take attendance at each meeting.
Article
VI – Dues
A.
All dues for membership shall be paid on or before the first fall
meeting. Dues shall be $25.00 per
member.
B.
Only members current with their dues will be entitled to vote.
C. Any member in good standing will be eligible, when duly nominated or appointed, to hold any office or to be appointed to serve on any committee.
Article
VII – Quorum
A.
A majority of members present including three or more officers will
suffice to render a decision by vote at a regular
meeting.
